VisitorLoop Docs

VisitorLoop

A full-stack marketing automation platform — capture leads, send emails, automate follow-ups, and chat with your visitors.

What is VisitorLoop?

VisitorLoop lets you embed targeted popups, banners, and chat widgets on any website using a single lightweight script tag. When visitors interact with them, their contact details become leads in your dashboard — ready for automated email sequences, one-time broadcasts, or live chat conversations.

No framework required

The loader script (loader.js) is plain JavaScript. It works on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, custom HTML — anything that lets you add a <script> tag.

Basic and Advanced

The dashboard has two modes, switched with Show me everything / Keep it simpleat the bottom of the sidebar. New accounts start in Basic.

  • Basic — five items: Home, Campaigns, Messages, People, and Your website. A campaign bundles the form on your site, the email it sends, and the rule connecting them into one thing you edit on a single page. Enough to collect email addresses and reply to them, without learning the vocabulary below.
  • Advanced — the full surface: widgets, library, flows, broadcasts, analytics, sites, webhooks and API keys. Nothing is hidden or removed.

These docs describe Advanced mode

Navigation instructions like “Go to Widgets → New widget” assume the full sidebar. If you don’t see an item, you’re in Basic — switch with Show me everything at the bottom of the sidebar. Switching back is always safe: edits made in Basic never discard settings made in Advanced.

Core concepts

Here is a quick mental model before diving into each section:

  • Organization — your account. Everything lives inside an org.
  • Site — a website you own. Each site gets a unique siteKey used in the loader script.
  • Widget — a popup, banner, or chat widget displayed on your site. A widget has a design, targeting rules, and triggers.
  • Lead — a visitor who submitted a form inside a widget. Leads have an email, optional phone, and any custom fields you collected.
  • Automation — a rule that fires when a lead is created. It can send emails immediately or schedule a drip sequence.
  • Broadcast — a one-time email blast sent to a segment of your leads.
  • Conversation — a live chat thread between a visitor and your team, surfaced in the Inbox.
  • Campaign — Basic mode’s view of a widget, its email, and the automation between them. Not a separate object; the same three things, grouped.

Quick start

In Basic:

  1. Add your website — paste the snippet from Your website into your site's <head>.
  2. Make a campaign — pick a ready-made one; the form and the email are set up for you.
  3. Change the words and put it live.

In Advanced:

  1. Create a site — go to Sites and add your domain.
  2. Install the script — paste the <script> tag into your site's <head>.
  3. Create a widget — choose a type (popup, banner, etc.) and publish it.
  4. Build an automation — automatically email new leads the moment they sign up.
  5. Send a broadcast — reach your whole list with one click.
