Leads
A lead is created every time a visitor submits a form inside one of your widgets. Leads are your contact database inside VisitorLoop.
Lead data
Every lead stores:
- Email — captured if the widget form includes an email field. Required for automations and broadcasts.
- Phone — optional, captured if a phone field is present.
- Custom fields — any other fields in the widget form (name, company, message, etc.) are stored as key-value pairs.
- Source — the URL the visitor was on when they submitted, plus their device type (desktop / mobile / tablet).
- Widget — which widget produced this lead.
- Created at — the timestamp of submission.
Leads table
All leads are listed under Leads in the dashboard. The table shows 100 leads per page — use theNext / Previous navigation at the bottom to move between pages.
Search
Use the search bar to filter leads by email, name, or any value in their custom form fields. The search is client-side and instant.
Filters
- By widget — show only leads from a specific widget.
- By tag — show only leads with a specific tag.
- Starred — show only leads you have marked as important.
- Unsubscribed — show only leads who have opted out of emails. Only visible when unsubscribed leads exist.
Tags
Tags let you categorise leads manually. You can create tags from the leads table toolbar (click the tag icon). Each tag has a name and a colour. Leads can have multiple tags.
Tags can also be used as the audience for a Broadcast — useful for sending to a curated segment.
Starring leads
Click the star icon on any lead row to mark it as important. Starred leads can be filtered to the top of the table using theStarred filter button. Stars are stored per-org, not per-user.
Unsubscribes
Every marketing email sent by VisitorLoop (via automations and broadcasts) contains an Unsubscribe link in the footer. When a lead clicks it, their record is marked unsubscribed: true and they are excluded from all future email sends.
Unsubscribes are also processed automatically when Resend reports a hard bounce or a spam complaintvia webhook — no manual action required.
You cannot re-subscribe a lead from the UI
Exporting leads
Click Export CSV in the leads toolbar to download the currently filtered list as a comma-separated file. The CSV includes email, phone, all custom fields, widget name, tags, source URL, device, and capture timestamp.
Export respects filters
Lead detail page
Click any lead row to open the lead detail page. It shows the full lead profile including all form fields, source information, assigned tags, and a timeline of any automation runs triggered by this lead.
Pagination
The leads list is paginated server-side at 100 records per page. Page navigation appears at the bottom when there are more than 100 leads in your current filtered view.
